Barbara Louise Rose

Barbara Louise Groberski Hunt Rose, 72, Died suddenly on Sunday evening, August 21st, 2016 at home in Oak Park Heights, MN. Barbara was born January 7th, 1944 in Sioux City, IA, raised in Chicago, IL and was a long term resident of Stillwater, MN. Barbara was a Registered Nurse for 52 years. She was a graduate of Columbus Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago and later obtained her Bachelor's from College of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. Barbara had a successful and varied career in Emergency Rooms in Chicago, Maple Manor Nursing Home in Stillwater, Department of Corrections at Stillwater and Oak Park Heights, and was currently working at Allina Cottage Grove. She is survived by her Husband of 24 years, Neal, two daughters, Lisa Hunt, Kristin Hunt Matthews, Sister Mary Lou Groberski, Brother Mark Groberski; Step-son Matthew Rose, Step-daughter Ellen Rose and 10 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Pauline (Dandurand) Groberski, two brothers, Bob Groberski and Jim Groberski and Granddaughter, Grace Matthews. Services will be held Friday, August 26th at 11:00 am with visitation beginning 10:00 am, at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave N. in Stillwater, MN. Barbara had passion for several charitable organizations. Contributions in memory of Barbara may be made to: The Wounded Warrior Project, MS Society, or American Cancer Society.
