Calista Mae (Boland) Stefanski

Calista Mae Stefanski, age 102 of Stillwater, passed away August 1, 2024 at the Gables of Boutwells Landing. Calista was born May 31, 1922 in Armstrong, IA to Frederick and Wilhelmina "Minnie" (Korrect) Boland. She grew up in Armstrong and graduated from Armstrong High School. Calista was united in marriage to Raymond Stefanski on April 23, 1949 in Armstrong. The couple made their home in Stillwater and were blessed with two daughters, Kathleen and Lynne. Calista worked as a Chiropractic Assistant for Dr. James Wallace in Stillwater. She was also a very active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, attending daily Mass and singing in the church choir. She was extremely social and loved hosting get-togethers and card games with friends and family. Calista and Raymond enjoyed traveling, especially going on road trips throughout the United States. In 1994, Raymond passed away unexpectedly and Calista found comfort and support through her Catholic faith and large group of friends. She cherished spending time with her family and was fond of music and playing the piano, bowling, and making craft and sewing projects.

Calista will remain in the hearts of her daughters Kathleen Bauer, and Lynne (John) Lange; grandchildren Kristy (Brad) Kostner, Emily Kurtz, Brent (Lauren) Bauer, Andrew (Laura) Lange, and Rebecca Lange; great-grandson Emery Lange; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond; her parents Fred and Minnie Boland; and siblings Dorothy (Marvin) Peterson, Arthur (Dorothy) Boland, and Theresa (Clifford) Steinberger.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 423 5th St. S, Stillwater. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
