Daniel G. Novak

Daniel G. Novak, age 75, of Lake Elmo, passed away at his home on September 10, 2024 following a progressive illness.

Dan was born August 21, 1949 in Streator, IL to Fabian and Eleanor (Ross) Novak. He graduated from Streator High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois. Dan would continue his studies at the University of Minnesota and earn a degree in the field of computers. He worked most of his career for UNIVAC and Unisys as a Mechanical Engineer. Dan enjoyed fishing and competitive swimming as an adult through U.S. Masters Swimming. He was also active with the Guardian Angels Men's Club.

Dan will remain in the hearts of his wife of 52 years Judi; children, Amy Novak, Luke (Vanessa) Novak, Sarah (Corey) Moore, and Ann Novak (Cory Frederickson); grandchildren, Lena, Mariah, Samira, Eric, Ashley, Logan, and Emma; siblings, Dianne (Bruce) Cooper, David (Kim) Novak, and Connie (Tim) Vilks; sister-in-law, Sandra Brue; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fabian and Eleanor (Ross) Novak; and his sister Kim Novak.

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 8260 4th St. N., Oakdale, MN 55128 with visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
