Donna Mae (Gaffney) Siemers

Donna (Gaffney) Siemers, Stillwater, MN, died peacefully after a short illness at the age of 75, on June 3, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Donna was a faith-filled woman, whose generous and tenacious spirit could not be contained by her small stature. She was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many in the Stillwater area. She was committed to her faith and community, as demonstrated by her involvement in numerous organizations throughout her life, ranging from Girl Scouts and Young Life, to her ever presence at numerous activities of her family. She was organized, adventurous, and accomplished, and adept at rising to any occasion or selflessly serving wherever there was need, or traveling the globe. She originated from Marshfield Wisconsin, where she maintained friendships throughout her life.

Donna is survived by her loving husband Dale Siemers; children Gretchen (Ron) Romain of Denmark Township, MN, Heidi (Matthew) Howe of Lake Elmo, MN, Abby (Steve) Grommesch of Eagan, MN, Rebecca Siemers of Minneapolis, MN and special niece Bridgett Gawlik of Woodbury, MN; grandchildren Sam, Cleo, and Vince Romain; Quinten, Nolan, and Darby Howe; Eldora and Harrison Grommesch; Harper, Gavin and Finley Gawlik; sibling Don (Eileen) Gaffney of Marshfield, WI; sister-in-law Wendy Gaffney of Wausau, WI; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Sally Gaffney, brothers Gerald and Robert, and sister Linda Kay.

The family is hosting a visitation on Friday, June 9th, 2023 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave, Stillwater, MN. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 10th 2023, at 10:30am at the Church of St Michael, 611 3rd Street S, Stillwater, MN, with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Guests are encouraged to wear blues and floral attire in celebration of her love of gardening. Memorials preferred to the Church of St. Michael Youth Ministry World Youth Day Fund, or Adult Faith Formation.
