Dorothy H. Thueson

Dorothy H. Thueson, nee Hooley. Age 86, of Stillwater, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 8 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thueson, and is survived by her children, Tom (Kathy), Jack (Sue), Sally Hansen (Floyd), Anne, and Patrick (Luba) as well as 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Dorothy is also survived by her siblings, Jean Corrigan, of Denver, Jack (Joyce) Hooley, Charles (Nancy) Hooley, Marjorie Hooley and Tom Hooley, as well as many nieces and nephews. A lifelong Stillwater resident, Dorothy was a woman of great faith, a deep and abiding love for her family, and a sparkling sense of humor. She was active for many years in the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Michael's Church, and was a frequent volunteer at local nursing homes and care centers. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, determination, and faith to the generations of family members who loved her, and to countless friends in the Stillwater area. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 13, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Stillwater. Visitation at Simonet Funeral Home, Stillwater, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday, December 12, and one hour prior to the funeral Mass in the atrium of St. Michael's Church. Memorials are preferred to the American Lung Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
