Edna Murphy

Murphy, Edna Age 85 Of Stillwater Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 31, 2016 as a result of a stroke. Edna, a longtime resident of Stillwater but originally from New Brunswick, Canada, was a woman of substance and class who will be remembered for her elegant style. She always made a habit of making sure you felt loved whether it be with a kind note or phone call. Her passions were her children & Grand Boys with whom many happy memories were shared. She was the consummate thoughtful loving mother & Nana. Edna loved tennis, traveling, Jazz music & Sauvignon Blanc. An avid Bridge player, she was a 57 year member of the Marvelous Bridge Club. Edna is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Thomas; children, Leslie Murphy, Valerie Murphy (Bill S.), John (Margot) Murphy; grandchildren, Conor and Ryan Murphy. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, November 7th at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave. N., Stillwater, MN 55082.
