Eleanor Mcwhirter-Barker

Eleanor Flora (nee Pretzel) McWhirter-Barker of West Chester, OH. Born on November 21, 1924 in St. Paul, MN. Passed peacefully on October, 30, 2018 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Robert E. McWhirter and Emmett Barker. Loving mother of Bruce (Carola) McWhirter, Debra (Mike) Howe, Robert (Carlene) McWhirter, Nancy (Thomas) Brooke and William (Shawna) McWhirter. Caring grandmother of Joey, Julie, Tim, Susie and Tommy and many great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Emil, Walter, Helen and Rudolph Pretzel. Cherished daughter of the late Gustave and Martha (nee Lambrecht) Pretzel. Also survived by numerous friends. Eleanor proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 2, 5:30-7:30 PM, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 129 N. Riverside Dr., Loveland, where services will be held at 7:30 PM. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 11 AM - 1 PM at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave. N., Stillwater, MN 55082 Her final resting place will be Fairview Cemetery, Stillwater, MN. on Tuesday, November 6 following the visitation. Pastor Phil Hopper will be the minister for Eleanor's services in Ohio.
