Eunice A. Melsby

Eunice A. Melsby, age 88, beloved wife and mother. Preceded in death by husband Orville; parents Harry and Agnes Little of Watertown, SD; brothers Ed (Laura) Little of CA; George (Dorothy) Little of Denver, CO, Leonard Little of SD; Archie (Betty) Little of SD, and sister Viola Boggs of Denver, CO. Survived by daughter Mary (Mike) Pavlovich of Stillwater, MN; sister Harriet (Daryl) Rook of Denver, CO; and nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces. Eunice was born on Feb. 15, 1923 and grew up and lived in Watertown, SD. She graduated from Watertown Public High School Class of 1941. Orville and Eunice were married in 1946. She worked as an overseas operator for Bell Telephone Company in Chicago and Minneapolis. In 1953, Eunice became a mother and homemaker. She volunteered at schools and churches including; Immaculate Conception in Columbia Heights, MN, St. John the Baptist in New Brighton, MN and Totino-Grace High School in Fridley, MN. Orville and Eunice moved to Stillwater in 2000, and lived at Boutwell's Landing Assisted Living and the Gables Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Tuesday February 7, 2012 at St. Charles Catholic Church 409 N 3rd St., Bayport. Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass at the CHURCH. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The Gables Care Center.
