Ewald Ryll

Ewald "Wally" Ryll of Orchard Park, NY, passed away suddenly on April 23, 2013 in MN, age 85, beloved husband of 59 years to Cecilia "Joanne" Ryll. Wally was born April 6, 1928 in Alexandrowka, Wolyn, Poland, and emigrated as an infant with his parents to British Columbia, Canada, where he grew up in Wembly, Leduc, Conrich, and Vernon. He met his future wife, Joanne, in British Columbia before graduating from University of Toronto with a Masters in Engineering. Wally worked briefly in Quebec City, QC, where Joanne and he were married. He settled with his wife and son in Western New York as a Senior Reliability Engineer at Cornell, Calspan, and Westinghouse and, briefly, as a professor at Buffalo State College. Wally remained a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Seneca until recently moving to Mahtomedi, MN to live with his daughter, Carolyn. Dearest father of David (Ruth) of CO, Barbara, Patrick (Lisa) of RI, Michael, and Carolyn (Danny) Clarkson of MN. Grandfather to Amanda, Ashley, Kai, Alexandra, Hunter, Kiana, and Kaya. Also survived by his brother Arthur "Art" Ryll of BC, Canada, sister Vera (Walter) Marinic of Ontario, Canada, and nieces and nephews. A small, private service is being planned.
