Primoli, Fred David Primoli
Loving Husband, Dad and Grandpa
Fred passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Fred was united in marriage to Margaret "Meg" Jennings on May 28th, 1960 at Nativity of our Lord Church in St. Paul and the couple enjoyed 64 years together raising five children and welcoming 11 grandchildren to their family.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Meg; children, Fred (Jane), Craig (Stephanie), Lizann (Glen) Skelton, Daren (Andrea), and Kathryn Primoli; grandchildren, Kennidy, Samantha (Brandon), Alaina, Cathleen, Christian, Michael, Olivia (Cole), Erika, Salvatore, Francesca, and Luvani; and sister, Elizabeth McMahon. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and two brothers.
Fred's life story is a testament to the American Dream. Raised on the east side of St. Paul's Italian neighborhood, his journey from the halls of Johnson High School to the decks of the Navy showcases a commitment to service and country. His entrepreneurial spirit, work ethic and resolve to succeed shined through his ventures in the restaurant and landscape businesses, where he not only built a legacy for his family, but also touched lives with his humor and humility. A mentor to many, Fred's ability to make each person feel special is a rare gift, reflecting the depth of his character and the breadth of his impact.
Fred was most proud of his family, Italian heritage, and military service. He loved to travel both in the US and Internationally, spent his time woodworking, making fried pepper sandwiches for Sunday night dinners with his wife and kids. He enjoyed watching the Vikings, blackjack, pull tabs, local and world politics. His talents included playing the drums, creative writing, and storytelling. Fred will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
