Guðný Anna (Eggertsdã³Ttir) Crist

Guðný Anna Crist (nee Eggertsdóttir), born in Reykjavík, Iceland, peacefully passed away on October 30, 2023, in New Richmond, WI. She was surrounded by her family. Guðný was a beloved mother, Amma (grandmother), great-grandmother, and friend.

Born and raised in Iceland, Guðný had a deep love for people. She had a warm and welcoming nature that endeared her to all who knew her. Her vibrant personality and kind-heartedness touched the lives of many.

In her professional life, Guðný founded, owned, and operated a large hair salon, Shear Dimension in Forest Lake, Minnesota. She was highly skilled in her craft and brought joy to her clients and staff through her talent and passion for cosmetology.

Guðný Anna Crist will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Guðný's husband of 61 years, Kenneth Crist, preceded her in death in 2017, and their love continues to be remembered and cherished.

Guðný is survived by her daughter, Barbara Crist-Nepp, and son-in-law, Doug Nepp, her son, Shawn Crist, and daughter-in-law, Monica Crist. She was a cherished Amma (grandmother) to Ashley Nepp (Matthew Bergeron), Andrew Nepp (Priscilla Dao), Austen Nepp, Elva Crist, and Sóley Crist. Guðný was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Halldór Bergeron and Salóme Bergeron.

Our family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all of the staff and volunteers at Saint Croix County Health Center and Lakeview Hospice who cared for Guðný. We are very thankful for the compassion, thoughtfulness, and love they showed her and our family.

In accordance with her wishes, a private graveside service will be held to honor Guðný's life and legacy.
