Janet Lee Kurth

Janet Lee Kurth Age 83 of Stillwater, MN Passed away March 13, 2017 Janet was born on July 13, 1933 in Olive Hill, Kentucky. She attended Morehead State College in Kentucky and graduated from Norton’s School of Nursing in Louisville, Kentucky. Janet worked as an RN for 40 years in many different settings. One of these settings was as a nursing stewardess on the North Coast Limited Northern Pacific Railway providing nursing services. It was during her time as a nursing stewardess that she met her husband Walter. Janet is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Walter; children, Mark (Jennifer), and Lisa (Kurt) Zaspel; 3 grandchildren, Aaron, Annelise, and Judd; great-grandchild, Leila; and neice, Kathy (Louie) Autrey. A gathering of friends and family will be from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave. N., Stillwater, MN 55082. Private family interment will be at a later date at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Bayport, MN.
