Jerry Richard Ness

Jerry R. Ness Age 70 of Danville, KY Formerly of Stillwater, MN Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 17, 2017 due to complications from cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Maxine Ness, his loving wife of 42 years; Vicki Ness and sister Alta Schweitzer. Jerry was a father to over 180 foster children over 20 years and loved his kids above all. He was an award winning chef, who donated his talents to church and community events. He is survived by his 13 children, Jonathan (Rebecca) Ness of Williams, AZ, Devon (Stephen) Swanson of White Bear Lake, MN, Andrew (Denise Rivera) Ness of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Cory Ness of Pine City, MN, Jeffrey Ness of Jamestown, KY, Rachel Ness, Lilly-Grace Ness, Celina-Joy Ness, and Brandon Ness all of Danville, KY, Tanya (Byron) Ulrich and Teresa Carroll of Denver, Colorado, Sara Magnuson of Perth, Australia, and Savanna (Timothy) Tardif of Pueblo West, Colorado; twelve grandchildren, Elizabeth, Owen, Amaya, Piper, Jay, Matthew, Zachary, Joslynne, Micah, Marcus, Samuel, and one unborn grandchild; five great grandchildren; and siblings, Gary (Kris), David (Diana), Brian (Debbie), Joel, JoAnn (Wes) Belz, Susan, and Steve (Julie). A visitation to celebrate Jerry's life will be from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave N., Stillwater, MN 55082.
