Service 11:00 AM Wednesday September 1, 2010 at SIMONET FUNERAL HOME, 6429 Osgood Avenue North, Stillwater. Visitation one hour prior to service. A luncheon will held at Stillwater VFW at 1 p.m., which will include an Honor Guard Post #323 ceremony. Jerry died peacefully at the Golden Living Center on August 27. He lived his life independently with his dog, Sadie until he became ill on August 18. Jerry was known for his many practical jokes and sense of humor. He loved dogs, old tractors, old airplanes and old cars. He loved to reminisce about the old days with anyone who would listen. Jerry was born in Mahnomen, MN on April 5, 1923 to Ben and Tina Buschette. Jerry served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946 at Pearl Harbor and served in the National Guard until 1957. When Jerry was discharged from the navy, he returned home to Mahnomen and fell in love with Joyce Noreen Lee who was a waitress at the Apple Café
