Jim Friedrich passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022, after years of decline from Alzheimer's disease. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Arline, brother David, grandson Zachary Sobiech. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy, his sister Sue (Doug) Abel, his children Laura (Rob) Sobiech, Adam (Debi) Friedrich, Lee (Jon) Schimnowski, Andrea Friedrich (Grant Canfield), Amy (Mark) Anderson, Maria (John) Garbe, Luke (Stephanie) Friedrich, and 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
For 30 years, he owned and operated Lake Elmo Repair in Lake Elmo, MN. He co-founded Christian's in Action Car Care Saturday, opening his shop once a month for 20 years to serve those in need. After retiring, he opened Rust in Peace Tractor Resurrections.
He was a generous man who lived a life of faith and integrity, serving his family and community through acts of sacrifice and kindness. He embodied 2 Timothy 4:7; "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 with visitation one hour prior at St. Lucas Community Church, 1195 Manning Ave N, Lake Elmo, MN 55042.
