Joan Peterson

Joan died Monday, March 23, 2015 at the age of 81 at the Golden Living Center-Greeley in Stillwater after suffering from Alzheimer’s and Dementia for the last 8 years . She was born September 29, 1933 in Stillwater, the daughter of John and Lorraine (Lund) Jackson. Joan married David E. Peterson on November 25, 1961 in Marine on St. Croix. She was employed as a consultant for 37 years at Northern States Power. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, cooking, concerts, and shell hunting on Florida beaches. She is survived by her loving husband, David of Marine on St. Croix; children, Donald S. Peterson of St. Paul, Deborah Kay Miller of Lakeland, and Diana Marie Miller of Auke Bay, Alaska; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Living Center-Greeley for their care of Joan over the past 7 years. Private services will be held.
