Joan Glendenning Kennedy, daughter of Louise and Gordon Glendenning (Deceased), founders of Glendenning Farms and Glendenning Motorways Trucking Company. Passed away peacefully early Sunday morning at her home, Le Pointe on the St. Croix, St. Joseph Township, WI. Preceded in death by late Husband William S. Kennedy. Survived by brother William A. Glendenning; Sons Roger G. Kennedy (Pamala J.) William S. Kennedy Jr. ( Sandra H.); Grandchildren Samantha Rae, Julia Marie, Nicole Corrine Kennedy; life long friend and companion, Colonel Joeseph A. Luger of the home, Le Pointe on the St. Croix and Washington D.C. Throughout her life Joan was active in many civic and charitable organizations, including, The Junior League of St. Paul, and the Minnesota Symphony Ball, which she chaired in 1962. She graduated from St. Paul Academy Summit School in St. Paul, MN and Cutter Sculver School NY, NY, where she was active in alumni affairs. Upon retirement as Vice President from Glendenning Motorways , Joan traveled extensively throughout the US, Mexico, Europe, Japan, and the Carribean. Joan enjoyed her twilight years at Le Pointe, with her close friend and companion, Col. Joseph A. Luger. Joan and Joe traveled extensively for the last ten years with trips east to WestPoint, NY, Washington D.C., Williamsburg VA, Gettysburg PA, Florida, Texas, Colorado and many drives up the North Shore, as well as numerous boat rides on the St. Croix.
