Joanne Finger

Joanne C. Finger Age 99 of Stillwater, MN passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016. Joanne was a graduate of the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, where she was elected to Delta Phi Lambda (national Creative Writing Society) and Kappa Gamma Pi, honorary scholastic society. She taught English, French and Speech in high schools in Minneapolis, Shakopee, MN and Lewiston, Idaho, before moving to New York City where for 26 years she was a supervisor at Eastern Airlines. Joanne lived in Whiting, N.J. before moving to Bayport, MN in 2005. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Patrick B. Connors, husband, David Finger, and sisters, Eileen Simonet and Patricia Poindexter. Joanne is survived by her sisters, Peg McHugh, Jean Lemmer, and Mary Swanson, brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Elaine Connors, and sister-in-law, Florence Finger, and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 with visitation one hour prior to the Mass all at the Church of St. Michael in Stillwater. Private burial at a later date at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Bayport. Memorials preferred to the Church of St. Michael.
