John William Frisk

John William Frisk, Jr. Age 80 Of Stillwater John passed away January 29, 2016 at Golden Living Greeley in Stillwater, MN as a result of his continued struggle with dementia, COPD and other health complications. In his final days, he was surrounded by many family members. John was born in the town of Lake Park, MN in 1935, the son of Patricia and John Frisk, Sr. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lavonne and his parents. He is survived by many family members including his brother Jim (Elaine); sister Deeann (Mark) Auer; children, Cheryl (Jim) Schmidt, Donald (Sue), Gary (Joanne), and Connie (William) Stringer. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, Matt, Jeff, Nicole, Tyler, Heather, Cody, Cheyann, Jarred, Cole, Alex, Emily, Lyla, and Riley; 5 great-grandchildren and many loved ones. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave N, Stillwater, MN 55082. Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 with visitation one hour prior, also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Stillwater. The family would like you to join them after the burial for a luncheon celebration of John’s life at Simonet Funeral Home. Memorials to be directed to the family to be distributed as they see fit. We would like to thank all who cared for John in his final days. A special thank you to the staff of Golden Living Greeley and to Lakeview Hospice.
