John Howard Weiss

John Howard Weiss, age 69 of Stillwater, passed away surrounded by family on January 19, 2025, following a three-and-a-half-month battle with T-cell Lymphoma. Born on April 24, 1955, John was a lifelong resident of Stillwater and a graduate of Stillwater High School. He dedicated 42 years of his life working at Andersen Windows in Maintenance and Vacuum Forming.

John was a devoted father and a grandpa who lived for his grandkids. Known affectionately around the rink as "Hockey Grandpa," he never missed a hockey game of other athletic event his grandkids competed in. He treasured his daily walks with his dog, Spanky, as they explored miles of the community together and visited with people they met along the way. John's love and support were unwavering; he was a dependable, consistent figure in the lives of those he cared about, often showing his humility through simple acts of kindness.

John had a passion for adventure, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and making the trip to Sturgis every year. Music played a significant role in his life too, with The Rolling Stones echoing his easy going spirit. John will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie; his mother Marion (nee Wagner) Weiss; and his father John "Jack" Weiss. He will remain in the hearts of his children Matthew (Krissi) Weiss, Jarin Weiss, James (Jamie) Letourneau, Mark (Amber) Letourneau, and Tina (Joe) Miller; grandchildren Donovan, Dayton, Briggs, David, Micah, Camden, Nicholas, Dawson, and Troy; sisters, Vicki Wyss, and Kathy (Brad) Pierce; niece Lili Pierce; nephew Dylan Pierce; other relatives; friends; and his beloved border collie Spanky.

Funeral Services for John will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 115 5th St. N, Stillwater. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave N, Stillwater, as well as one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Stillwater.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to John's family.
