John J. Berberich

John J Berberich, (Big John), Age 89 of Bayport, MN. Born 11/13/1921 in Springfield, MN and died at home on 07/16/2011. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Esther, wife Beth, daughter Nicole, sister Betty, brother Clifford, brother-in-law Rollin (Lois) and brother-in-law Jerry (Betty). Survived by his daughters Glenna (Blaine) Peterson, Deb Weyer and Jackie (Don) Savage; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and many really good friends. John retired from the Minnesota Correctional Facility- Stillwater. He was a proud WWII Army Veteran and Active member of the Stillwater VFW Post #323, Honor Guard, Military order of the Cooties, Bayport American Legion #491, 40 ET 8, and the Stillwater Eagles. John enjoyed spending time with family and friends and volunteering any way he could. He is loved and will be missed. Funeral Service 11 am Saturday July 23, 2011 at People's Congregational Church 293 North 3rd Street, Bayport. Visitation 5-7 pm Friday July 22, 2011 at Simonet Funeral Home 6429 Osgood Avenue North, Stillwater and also 1 hour prior to the service at the CHURCH.
