Kevin James Charlsen

Kevin James Charlsen, age 76 of Stillwater, Minnesota, passed away on January 20, 2024. He was born June 18, 1947 in Stillwater, where he grew up and graduated from Stillwater High School. Kevin was a proud National Guard veteran, a retired volunteer firefighter in Stillwater and a retired American Family Insurance agent. He loved spending time entertaining family and friends while boating on the St. Croix River.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents Dean and Margaret (Collins) Charlsen; sister Patricia (Cortzie) Downs; and brothers John "Jack" Charlsen (Lucille Wright) and William "Bill" Charlsen. He is survived by his loving wife Cherolyn "Cheri"; sons Michael Charlsen and Matthew (Bethany) Charlsen; step-sons Marc Loken, Michael (Nikki) Loken, and Steven Loken; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister Janice (David) Carlson; sister-in-law Carol Charlsen; and many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A Funeral Service for Kevin will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave. N, Stillwater, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment at St. Michael's Cemetery in Bayport.
