Leonard M. Radke. U.S. Coast Guard-WWII Veteran. Age 89-of Bayport. Born November 21, 1920. Preceded in death by wife Dorothy who passed away January 28, 2010; sister Harriet Asp; brothers Lyle, George, Bill. Survived by children William (Laurie), Richard (Deborah), Lynn (Noriko), Jeff (Pam); grandchildren Jodi (Eric)Snell, Brad (Heather), Gina (Andy) Gollop, Sean (Lisa), Angela, Kenneth; great-grandchildren Kasey and Ryan Radke, Megan and Kendall McCain, Myles and Autumn Gollop, Malachi and Ian Radke; brothers Lowell and James (Dianne); sister-in-law Margaret Hagen. Len was in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1942-1946 and was awarded the Bronze Star as a Tail Gunner for Flight Operations in the Atlantic during WWII. He was a member of the Bayport American Legion Post #491 and the American Legion Drill Team. Leonard was an avid outdoorsman who especially liked fishing, golfing, and gardening where he took pride in his tomatoes and his smoked fish. Len had an infectious smile with a unique personality that transcended to everybody around. Lenny was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He retired after 40 years of continuous employment with Andersen Corporation. He was an active volunteer behind the scenes in the community especially in the Boy Scouts and his childrenâ
