Passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a strong and determined mother of eight, loving and kind grandmother of twenty-two and incredibly proud great grandmother of nineteen. She was an avid supporter of whatever her children and grand- children were involved in. She was an avid Minnesota Twins Fan and loved her fellow Bowling Babes. You could find her on the sidelines of her children’s and grandchildren’s sports events, (especially wrestling meets), concerts, plays, recitals, art shows, benefits and award ceremonies. She was the one beaming with pride, taking pictures and cheering loudly. She was a partner and farmed alongside her loving husband, John D., for forty-five years. She proudly served May Township as an election judge for decades. She served on the board German Farmers Mutual Insurance Company from 1995 until present. She was a member of Stillwater American Legion Post 490 Auxiliary and St. Brenda’s Rosary Band. Preceded in death by her loving husband, John D.; and her precious son-in-law, Rob Guzman; her parents, Rose and Charles Carufel; and her siblings, Dorothy, Lucille, Marcella, Shirley, Marie, Harold and Harold (infant). Survived by sisters Annette and Reta. She will be greatly missed by her children: Stephen (Kathy), David (Stacy), Daniel (Chris), Ann Gonzales (Phil), Richard (Sue), Mary Guzman, Jane Keller-Malenfant (Eric), John (Maria); her grandchildren; Matt (Amelia), Jessica, Peter (Erin), Julie (Matt), Betsy (Brook), Joe (Karissa), Delaina (Omar), Terese, Jimmy, Sara (Adam), Rachel (Dan), Marie (Michael), John, Robbie, Will, John, Alec, Jonah, Avery, Gabriel, Johanna, Ana and her great grand-children, Isabelle, Calvin, Franklin, Sophia, Olivia, Will, Benjamin, Ellie, Sam, Isla, Emmaline, Bo, Pip, Edmonton, Brielle, Kadin, Fable Mae and Oliver. She loved her nieces and nephews like her kids and had a special place at her table for Kenny, Lyn, Susan, Christopher, Marion, Patty and too many others to name. Mom always had extra cookies, rolls and coffee cake for our friends and they become her kids, too. She was the matriarch to the Carufel and Keller nieces and nephews and their children. She took that role very seriously and never wanted to miss a reunion or celebration with family. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on February 8th at the Church of Saint Michael, 611 S. 3rd St., Stillwater, MN 55082. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass in the church atrium at Saint Michael's. Burial will be at Withrow Cemetery, Withrow, MN. You may Honor her memory by making donations to the John D. and Lorraine B. Keller Educational Memorial Scholarship, Health East Hospice or Friends of Chimbote. Our family was so blessed to have special help and care from Mom’s “girl’s”, Leta, Sara and Nikki and Hospice nurse angel, Jill. God Bless Lorraine Keller 1923-2019.
