Lynda Anne (Spencer) Durst

Lynda Anne (Spencer) Durst of Richfield passed away peacefully on August 30, 2022. Lynda was the third daughter of Oliver "Ben" Spencer and Anne Elizabeth Spencer. Lynda suffered from Alzheimer's disease the last years of her life. Lynda resided at Wealshire Memory Care where she received extraordinary care. Throughout her illness her warm and caring personality were present.

Lynda worked in hospitality for many years. Her bright and cheerful disposition was suited for this work. She was intelligent, practical and cherished by friends and family. She was a patriot, imbued with old fashioned sentiments. She was sensitive and gentle and these qualities were manifest in her love of pets.

Lynda was preceded in death by her mother and father Annie and Oliver "Ben" Spencer, and sister Sally Rae Spencer. She is survived by her sister "Sammy" Nicholson, daughter Annie Durst, grandson Thadeus, nephews John and Michael Nicholson, niece Jayne Windnagel (Ned) and great nieces and nephews Lizz, Sam (Angie), Rose, and Gabriel Windnagel.

Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 with visitation one hour prior at the historic Lakewood Chapel at Lakewood Cemetery, 3600 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55408. Burial will follow the service. Arrangements by Simonet Funeral Home, Stillwater, MN.
