Marcella Christine (Schell) Lantz

Lantz, Marcella "Marcie" nee Schell Lantz was born on December 23, 1925 in Stillwater. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Christine (Junker) Schell; husband of 51 years, Bob; brother, Bob Schell, sisters, Donna Lindquist, and RoseMary Ste. Marie; brothers-in-law, John Lindquist and Dennis Ste. Marie; sister-in-law, Marjorie Schell. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Marcie was a 1943 graduate of Stillwater High School and 2019 inductee to the Stillwater Area High School Distinguished Alumni. She was employed by the FBI in Washington, DC for 30 years. For many years Marcie loved volunteering to help people at Lakeview Hospital, Stillwater Senior Center, Boutwells Landing, and the Ostomy Associations in Maryland, Washington DC, Florida, and Minnesota. Marcie felt that there was nothing more rewarding than "people helping people". Marcie was very patriotic, coming from a family where her father, husband, brother, three nephews, and two brothers-in law served in the military. The funeral for Marcie will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 26, 2024 with visitation from 10-11 am at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave. N., Stillwater, MN 55082. Private family interment at St. Michael's Cemetery in Bayport. Memorials preferred to Lakeview Hospice or donor's choice.
