Marilyn T. (Murphy) Keating, age 82, died peacefully surrounded by family on April 18th. A Lady of the Holy Sepulcher, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Eugene Keating; her parents Thomas and Anne Murphy; and sisters, Anne Catmull and Joan Parker. Marilyn is survived by her children Matthew, Eileen (Mark) Douglass, Marguerite (Michael) O’Meara, Eugene, Joseph (Rachel) and Paul, as well as her grandchildren: Michael, Gabrielle, Therese, Sophia, Alison, Joseph, Catherine, Francesca, Eugene, Daniel, Marie and Lucy. A graduate of Holy Angels and the College of St. Catherine, she also received a Master’s degree from St. Louis University. A beloved mother, grandmother, and teacher, Marilyn was active in many Catholic and charitable causes, including The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem and was instrumental in establishing Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at St. Charles in Bayport. She enjoyed theater, photography, traveling, reading and the beauty of the distinct Minnesota seasons. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Church of St. Michael, 611 South Third Street, Stillwater. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Avenue North Stillwater and also for one hour prior to the Mass in the church atrium on Monday. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Carmelite Monastery Lake Elmo MN.
