Age 88 Of Oak Park Heights Passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013. Marlin was a dedicated father and grandfather. He worked as an entrepreneur, teacher, realtor and land developer. Marlin loved Jesus, his family and hard work. He was a true preservationist, planting thousands of trees in Washington County. Preceded in death by his parents Mikkel and Caroline Rygh; brothers Jim and Jens Rygh; sisters Pearl Lightbody and Marcella Sauter and grandson Tommy Shult. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Leona; children Ona Brown, Mike (Jan) Rygh and Carol (Tom) Lawless; grandchildren Mik (Andrea), Jeremiah, Rebecca (Eric), Molly, Maria, Haley, Jack, Jacob and Mark; 5 great grandsons and sisters Ellen Meyers and Florence Wiskocil. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Salem Lutheran Church, 14940 62nd St. N., Stillwater, MN. Visitation 4:30 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 13 at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave. N., Stillwater, MN and 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment at Sunset Cemetery in Minneapolis. Memorials will be donated to Robins Nest Childrens Home in Jamaica.
