Mary Plourde

It is with great love and respect that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Barbara Coggins Plourde of Stillwater, Minnesota, age 91, December 1, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony, parents Mary & John Coggins, brother James, and sister Lucille. She was born on November 20, 1914 in Stanton, Wisconsin. She began her phenomenal teaching career that spanned 32 years in Somerset and Hammond Wisconsin. She had her start in a one-room school house with eight grades and found her way to district 834, teaching 5th grade in Oak Park elementary School until her retirement in 1980. She was an active member of the S.C.E.A, M.E.A, N.E.A., Retired Teachers Association, the Historic Courthouse Quilters, and St. Michaelâ
