Mary C (Lynch) Schoenecker

Mary C. Schoenecker, age 86 of Oak Park Heights, passed away September 14, 2024 surrounded by her family. Mary was born May 12, 1938 in St. Paul to James and Pauline (Riley) Lynch. She grew up in St. Paul and graduated from Saint Agnes School in 1956. Mary was united in marriage to Gerald "Jerry" Schoenecker in 1958. The couple was blessed with 6 children, and the family made their home in Oak Park Heights. Mary took good care of her family and welcomed all the neighborhood children into their home. Mary lost her husband Jerry and was a loving caregiver to her daughter Jennie who also passed at a young age. Mary volunteered at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, coordinated for her Franciscan Retreat group, and attended the many sporting events, concerts, and other school activities of her children and grandkids. Mary was always rooting for the underdog and was willing to help anyone in need. Every year she canned chili sauce for friends and family, and cherished the annual lunches with her friends from Saint Agnes School.

Mary will remain in the hearts of her children Judy (John Schlichting), Jerry Jr. (Kathy), John (Katie), Jim, Joe (Amy); 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Margaret Lynch, and Vicki Lynch; many nieces, nephews, and the entire extended Schoenecker and Lynch families.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Sr.; daughter Jennie Wilmes; her parents; brothers Tom (Joan) Lynch, James Lynch, Pat (Georgia) Lynch, and Michael Lynch; and many beloved Schoenecker and Lynch family members.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday September 20, 2024 at the Church of St. Michael 611 S. 3rd St., Stillwater, MN. Visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
