Patricia Mary Peterson

Peterson, Patricia Mary Nee Schwartz, 86 Longtime resident of Oak Park Heights Passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at The Gathering at Boutwells Landing in Oak Park Heights, MN. She was born on July 9, 1922, in Stillwater, the daughter of Leo and Lillian (Flynn) Schwartz. She worked at the American National Bank in Saint Paul for 14 years. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1972 with a degree in English/Secondary Education. Pat taught English at Stillwater Junior High for 14 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at the Science Museum of Minnesota, driving for HSI and serving as a peer counselor. She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Juidith) Grout of Glendale, AZ, Donald (Linda) Olson of Andover, MN; a son-in-law, George (Betty) Hoyt of Eau Galle, WI; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward Peterson, one daughter, Lillian Hoyt, one sister, Lorraine Casperson, and four brothers, Leonard, Donald, James and John Schwartz. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Saturday, June 13, 2009 at ST. CHARLES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 409 North 3rd Street, Bayport, MN. Private family burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in South Saint Paul. Visitation will be at SIMONET FUNERAL HOME, 6429 Osgood Avenue North, Stillwater on Friday, June 12, 2009 from 4:00-8:00PM and one hour prior to Mass at the CHURCH.
