Prosper "Jr" Harvieux, Jr.

Prosper "JR" Harvieux, Jr., age 67 of Stillwater, formerly of Sun City, AZ, died June 27, 2024. JR was born January 19, 1957 in New Richmond, WI to Prosper and Leona (Gibson) Harvieux. He grew up attending Mass at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Richmond and graduated from New Richmond High School where he played on the varsity football team. JR worked at Andersen Windows for 30 years. He was united in marriage to Cathleen "Cathy" Cerra on June 13, 2013 in Laughlin, Nevada. The couple resided in Stillwater and enjoyed traveling to new places and eating at new restaurants. After retiring they relocated to Sun City, AZ in 2016 where they enjoyed riding their motorized scooters around town, gathering with other retirees at the pool/social events and attended St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church. JR and Cathy returned to Stillwater in 2021, purchasing the previous Stillwater home they had lived in.

JR was a sports fanatic, and loved watching and listening to all sports. He collected and sold sports memorabilia and had a wealth of knowledge regarding sports trivia and stats. JR enjoyed classic cars and reminisced about his days driving his classic Cadillac and Corvette. He was a kind and giving man, was proud of his sobriety since 2010. Though they have all passed away, JR adored his pets including; dachshunds Buddy 1, Buddy 2, Tipsy, Grrr, Bad Charlie, and Coco; yellow lab Zoey; and cat Zing, who was often found sleeping on JR's chest.

JR will remain in the hearts of his wife Cathy; step-daughter Haley Nelson (Jake Bergeson); siblings, Tom, JoAnne Wolf, Jeri, and Scott (Debbie); many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Prosper and Leona; sister Sharon (John) Granger; sister-in-law Sue Harvieux; brother-in-law Gary Wolf; and many four-legged companions.

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 9, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 423 S. Fifth Street, Stillwater. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment at St. Michael's Cemetery, Bayport.
