Robert "Bob" Leonard Zimmerman

Robert L. "Bob" Zimmerman of Stillwater passed away peacefully on October 16, 2023.

Receiving a B. A. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, where he met his wife Sally Christopherson, his career turned towards data processing and then to software design. He continued to grow his skills, eventually founding a software consulting firm and furthering his education with a M. S. in Software Design from the University of St. Thomas.

After retiring, he turned his attention to the study of genealogy and exploring his Icelandic roots.

He is survived by his sons Todd (Marlann) and Ethan, grandson Liam, siblings John, Dick (Nancy), Mary Aronson, Barb (Steve) Moll and countless family and friends.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Bob's life will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave. N, Stillwater, MN. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
