Robert W. Fritts

Robert W. Fritts died peacefully on 17 June shortly after a final reunion with his wife, Peggy, and their three children, Dave, Steve, and Susie, and visits from many close friends. Throughout his life, Bob was passionate about all he did. He was an inspiring and interactive husband, father, and grandfather, investing large personal resources in shared family activities from canoeing and fishing to skiing and scuba diving. Bob also devoted significant energy to his many friends and championed community projects, including bike paths and efforts to aid senior citizens. An eternal optimist, even rainy days on a lake with family or friends were days well spent. As a research physicist at 3M, Bob developed many product areas, but will be most remembered for his enthusiasm and support of the people who worked with him. We miss you, Dad, and weâ
