Ruth "Jean" Clemings

Ruth “Jean” Clemings, known as Jean to family and friends, passed away at The Estates at Greeley on March 3, 2018 at the age of 92. She was born on June 28, 1925 and grew up in Wann, Oklahoma and moved to Stillwater, Minnesota with her family in 1953 to be with her mother Marge Failing. Jean and her husband Bill were the proud original owners of the Valley Dry Kleenette and St. Croix Cleaners in Stillwater. Jean loved living in Stillwater and raising her children there. She was always very involved in the community. She is preceded in death by her husband, William; son, Billy Joe; brother, Donnie; sisters, Tommie and Joan. Survived by her children Bob Clemings, Donna Gerber (Tim); step-daughter, Cara; grandchildren, Brandon, Shannon, Nikole, Amy, and Kristin; nieces and nephews, Mike, Judye, Randy, Dawn, Maynard, Christine, Richard and Linda Jo. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave N., Stillwater, MN 55082. Private family services will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association or donor’s choice.
