Age 62, of Stillwater, passed away early Tuesday, January 19, 2016 following a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his parents Frank and Joan, sisters Sarah Schaffer and Ann Kilibarda, nephew Fritz (Erica), nieces Christine, Lauren and Ashley, great-niece Blaire and other relatives. Steve was much-loved and will be deeply missed by his family and many loyal friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and keen hunter and fisherman. As a 39-year member and devoted supporter of the St. Croix Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, Steve volunteered countless hours for chapter activities, especially the annual banquet and Greenwing youth program. Services will be at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 with visitation one hour prior to the service all at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave N, Stillwater, MN 55082. Interment at Fairview Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Croix Chapter of Ducks Unlimited or American Cancer Society.
