Steven Howard Walter

Born on April 30, 1949 in Dubuque, IA, Steven Howard Walter passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in Rochester, MN. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a highly respected fire protection engineer. He was known for his sweet sense of humor, his love of fishing, and his uncanny ability to attract a crowd wherever he went. He could fix any problem, whether it was by repairing a wall, giving a warm hug or just listening at the end of a bad day. He always put our family first and he was our rock of peaceful strength. Life was always better when he was around. He will be missed by all who knew him. Private services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016. Memorials may be sent in Steve’s name to the American Cancer Society.
