Valerie Lindell

Preceded in death by father Charles Lindell and sister Christine Lindell. Survived by husband Michael Chilar; daughter Katherine Schimmel; mother Bernie Lindell Wachtler; stepfather Ralph Wachtler; sister Mary Kay Valenty; brother Timothy Lindell his wife Gina; nephew Joe; nieces Brittany, Erika, Olivia; also aunts, uncles and many friends. Valerie was a public health nurse for Washington County and more recently a social worker for the Oakdale school district and involved in many activities including girl scouts and Special Olympics. As a public health nurse she gave herself effortlessly in helping those who were less fortunate and as a social worker helping troubled students. Valerie always tried to make a difference in peoples lives with her ongoing positive attitude that she had not only with her clients but also with her friends, co- workers and family. She loved you all and I know that you all loved her. I will always love and miss Valerie and hope very much someday that I will be with her again. I big part of me has been taken away and there is an emptiness that I don't think will ever go away. Valerie had so many friends and I really tried to contact as many as I could. I am truly sorry if I missed calling any of you. I would like to thank the EMS team, the doctors and all the nurses at St. Vincent Hospital in New York City for doing everything humanely possible to save Valerie's Life.
