Virginia Mary Colombo

Colombo, Virginia (Ginny) Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 24, 2015 at the age of 91. Virginia was born on November 21, 1923, the daughter of Leo and Alice Schiltgen. Virginia was a graduate of the nursing program at the College of St. Catherine. She was united in marriage to Roger Colombo at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. She created a nurturing and loving environment for her family and was an extraordinary homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, baking, and was an avid reader. Virginia is survived by Roger, her husband of 57 years; children Anne (Mark Houge) Colombo, Barbara (Mike Osterholm) Colombo, Paul (Gianna) Colombo, Jane (John) Benik, and Patti (Rick) Dougherty and 13 grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, March 3rd at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, 16770 13th St. S, Lake St. Croix Beach, Minnesota 55043. Burial to be held at a later date. Memorials preferred to Sharing and Caring Hands.
