Wayne John Plourde

Age 79, of Afton, MN Formerly of Somerset, WI Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 20, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Paul. Wayne served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was an active member of the Bayport Legion. He was owner of Spriggs Plumbing in St. Paul for 40 years. Wayne especially loved spending time with his family. Survived by loving wife, Rosemary; children, Kelly (Andy) Schultz, Karen Tobias, Tony (Angee) Plourde; son-in-law, Dan Beer; grandchildren, Charlie Beer, Ryan Beer, Kayla Tobias, Konner Tobias, Cole Plourde, Carson Plourde; sisters, Sister M. DeLourdes OSM, Donna Berube, Joyce Donati, Florence (Malcolm) Tobin; and sister-in-law, Aryliss Plourde. Preceded in death by wife, Colleen; daughter, Kimberly Ann Beer; son-in-law, Kent Tobias; parents, Joseph and Florence Plourde; brothers, Wilfred (Frances), Marcel (Ruth), Kenneth, Gerald (Betty); and sisters, Marilyn, and Anita (George) Krekan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at St Francis of Assisi Church, 16770 13th Street S., Lakeland, MN 55043 with visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Burial at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Somerset, WI. Memorials preferred to the charity of your choice.
